Ms. Lisa Gou

Lisa’s approach is first and foremost collaborative and client-centered. She is committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental, and compassionate therapeutic environment. Lisa strives to gain a deep understanding of each client’s unique lived experiences to tailor services to their needs. She uses evidence-based approaches, and while her training is predominantly rooted in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, she also draws from Interpersonal and Emotion-Focused approaches. Lisa works with adults on an individual basis, and provides both therapy and assessment services. She has experience working with individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, problems in interpersonal relationships, interpersonal trauma, and discrimination and marginalization.

Lisa completed her predoctoral residency at the Edmonton Consortium within Alberta Health Services. She will be receiving her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Victoria in Fall 2019, and subsequently undergoing the process to register as a Clinical Psychologist in BC. She will be working under the supervision of a registered psychologist until the registration process is completed.
