Neurofeedback can also be helpful in terms of Peak Performance Training, as there are indications that it can contribute to improvements in performance in people who do not have any symptoms or medical conditions.
Prior to commencing neurofeedback treatment, our clinicians perform a comprehensive evaluation by doing a quantitative electroencephalogram (QEEG), which is an assessment tool to objectively and scientifically evaluate a person's brainwave function. Based on the results of the QEEG, we are able to determine whether a person's brainwave patterns are different from normal and if so, how and where they differ. This crucial information is important for planning the subsequent neurofeedback treatment and tailoring the program to the individual.
The following video provides an excellent, clear explanation of what neurofeedback is and how it works.

Neurofeedback (also know as EEG biofeedback) is a form of therapy that that can help people recondition and retrain brainwave patterns. It involves a non-invasive procedure that uses sensors placed on your scalp and high-tech, electronic equipment to provide real-time, instantaneous feedback about your brainwave activity.
Research has demonstrated that neurofeedback can help people influence and gradually change brainwave patterns and that healthier brainwaves can be retrained in most people. There is promising evidence that neurofeedback may be helpful in treating a wide range of conditions, including the following:
