Dr. Megan Caines
Dr. Caines has a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Victoria. Her primary clinical orientation is cognitive-behavioural; however, she draws on additional therapeutic interventions (i.e. interpersonal therapy, solution-focused approaches, neurofeedback) when appropriate. She has experience in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults. Her particular interests are in the assessment and treatment of anxiety and mood disorders in both adolescents and adults. She is also interested in the treatment of workplace-related difficulties, anger, life stress, and relationship issues. She has worked in hospital and private practice settings and has experience with insurance companies, Veterans Affairs, and police departments. Prior to joining Vancouver Island Psychological Services in 2014, she worked for Alberta Health Services. Dr. Caines is registered to practice in the Province of British Columbia (#2218).
