R. Psych.

Lisa’s approach is first and foremost collaborative and client-centered. She is dedicated to creating a safe, nonjudgmental, and compassionate therapeutic environment. She is also deeply committed to providing culturally responsive and affirming services in line with her values of anti-oppression and social justice. Lisa strives to gain a deep understanding of each client’s unique lived experiences to tailor services to their needs. She uses evidence-based approaches, and while her training is predominantly rooted in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, she also draws from Interpersonal and Emotion-Focused approaches. She also offers therapies designed to address specific presenting problems, such as Cognitive Processing Therapy for posttraumatic stress disorder and Exposure and Response Prevention for obsessive-compulsive disorder. Lisa works with adults on an individual basis, providing both assessment services for those seeking to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their presenting concerns, as well as therapy services to help clients make meaningful progress towards their goals. She has experience working with individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress, obsessive-compulsive disorder, problems in interpersonal relationships, and oppression and marginalization on the basis of their lived identity.

Lisa completed her predoctoral residency at the Edmonton Consortium within Alberta Health Services, and she received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Victoria in 2019. She is registered with the College of Psychologists of BC (Registration # 2541).
