Amanda is a Doctoral student at York University, and is currently working under supervision of Dr. Tanna Mellings. She has earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at York University in Psychology, and is currently working towards completion of her doctoral degree. Amanda has recently completed an accredited pre-doctoral internship at the University of Victoria’s Student Wellness Centre.

Amanda has conducted research on emotional process in psychotherapy, and her current research is on couples coping with cancer. Amanda has worked in student counselling and private practice settings providing individual therapy and assessment services. Amanda primarily works from a person-centered framework, while integrating her training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Amanda provides assessments and psychotherapy to individual adults. She helps clients with depression, anxiety, overwhelming emotions, and trauma. She also conducts assessments of mental health and ADHD.
