Amira Noyes

Supervised Practice

Dr. Amira Noyes takes a warm, collaborative, and strengths-based approach to therapy. She works with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families to build confidence, resilience, and practical coping skills. Using evidence-based approaches including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), she helps clients manage anxiety, depression, intense emotions, relationship challenges, and parenting concerns.

She values each client's unique experiences and believes therapy should be supportive, engaging, and focused on creating meaningful, lasting change.

Dr. Noyes earned her PhD in School and Applied Child Psychology from Western University and previously worked as a school psychologist in British Columbia. During her predoctoral residency with the Toronto Area Residency Consortium (CPA-accredited), she received intensive training in a Comprehensive DBT program and provided individual, group, and parent-based DBT services to adolescents and young adults.

In addition to therapy, Dr. Noyes provides psychoeducational, psychodiagnostic, and gifted assessments to help children, adolescents, and families better understand learning profiles, mental health concerns, and recommendations for support.

Dr. Noyes is a Provisional Psychologist licensed with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC), and her work is supervised by a Licensed Psychologist at VIPS.
