Dr. Robert Holloway
R. Psych.
During his doctoral studies at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, Dr. Holloway focused his clinical learning on the treatment of trauma in adults and on working with couples, families and individuals from diverse backgrounds. As a clinician practicing both psychodynamic and systems therapy, Dr. Holloway sees mental health symptoms as arising both out of the individual and their relational context. This perspective allows him to treat individuals, couples and families with mental health presentations such as depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, stress, traumatic experiences, marital distress, family discord, and adjustment. Dr. Holloway has also developed a deep understanding of first responders through clinical, psychoeducational, and consultative work with local police departments. Additionally, Dr. Holloway is able to complete psychoeducational, personality, and ADHD testing. Dr. Holloway’s research involves in-depth examinations of psychodynamic psychotherapy sessions for depressed individuals following a greater than two-week lapse in treatment.
Dr. Holloway is registered to practice in the Province of British Columbia (#2582).
