OPT-FR is a 7-week program based on Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), an evidence-based treatment for PTSD.
Next Session will start: April 17, 2023
Day and Time of the Group - Mondays and Thursdays from 2-4pm
Cost of the Group: $2775 per participant
What is OPT-FR?
By joining this group therapy program, you will learn helpful strategies to manage PTSD symptoms such as:
- strong reactions to triggers and reminders of past traumas
- sleep problems and nightmares
- anxiety and depression
- anger issues
- attention and memory problems due to emotional trauma
- isolation and limited social support
Who is OPT-FR for?
This program is for you if you are a first responder (such as law enforcement, paramedic, fire fighter or military member) experiencing PTSD. This group will help you process traumatic events and your reactions to them in a group of people who understand your experiences.
Call 250-727-7060 or send an email through the website to be contacted regarding OPT-FR.
Although many individuals express hesitancy to work through their PTSD in a group setting, research has demonstrated the effectiveness of group programs for PTSD. For some individuals, group treatment can be more beneficial than individual therapy on its own.
